1.This type of press brake utilizes a single-cylinder design, which simplifies the hydraulic system and results in a more compact overall structure that occupies less workshop space. Additionally, the reduced number of components lowers both procurement and maintenance costs, making it an ideal choice for projects with limited workspace or flexible budget requirements.

2.Due to the short working bed (typically around 1 meter in length) and the high rigidity of the ram, the concentrated force from the single cylinder is evenly distributed across the entire ram. This ensures synchronized downward movement at both ends, resulting in stable and reliable bending precision.

3.For "short, thick plates," the single-cylinder structure offers the advantage of direct force output. Precise control is achieved via electro-hydraulic servo or pump-controlled servo systems, enabling stable bending of short, thick plates while ensuring consistent bending angles.

To form 20mm thick plates, the V-opening of the bottom die is typically sized at 8–10 times the plate thickness (e.g., V > 160mm) to prevent material cracking and accommodate the immense tonnage requirements.
The tooling itself is massive and heavy; it undergoes processes such as CNC deep-case hardening to achieve a high hardness of HRC 56–60, with a hardened layer depth of up to 4mm, enabling it to withstand repeated impacts of hundreds of tons.

FOR 20MM THICK PLATES,SYNCHRONIZATION IS EVERYTHING

When bending thick plates,dual-cylinder machines are prone to angle deviations at both ends (90°at one end and 89.5°at the other) due to oil circuit delays or uneven load,resulting in extremely high scrap rates.Dual cylinders are more prone to "fighting,"while single-cylinder direct drive forces mechanical rigidity synchronization through an 800mm short force path,eliminating twisting and ensuring perfectly consistent angles at both ends.

 

800MM IS NOT A LIMITATION-IT'S AN ADVANTAGE

When bending thick plates, the slider and worktable undergo elastic deformation (deflection) under immense pressure, leading to a larger angle in the middle.

 

Compared to a 3-meter long machine, the 800mm worktable makes deflection control extremely simple. Combined with a thickened worktable pad, no complex hydraulic deflection compensation is needed; physical rigidity alone can produce thick plate workpieces with perfect straightness.

 

ONE CYLINDER. FULL PRESSURE. ZERO WASTE

Pain Point: Thick plate bending requires continuous and stable high-pressure holding time (to prevent springback). Large machines experience large pressure fluctuations during pressure holding.

 

The single-cylinder system has a short oil circuit, resulting in fast pressure build-up and stable pressure holding, suitable for springback control of 20mm thick plates. All pressure is precisely concentrated within the 800mm working area.
